Realm Cellars, established in 2002, has swiftly ascended to the pinnacle of Napa Valley winemaking, earning acclaim for its exceptional Cabernet Sauvignon-based wines. The winery's journey is a testament to resilience, innovation, and an unwavering commitment to quality.

Founding and Evolution

Co-founded by Juan Mercado and Wendell Laidley, Realm Cellars began as a virtual winery, sourcing premium grapes from renowned vineyards such as Beckstoffer To Kalon and Dr. Crane. In 2012, Scott Becker, a U.S. Air Force veteran and Harvard MBA, assumed ownership, bringing a renewed vision to the winery. Alongside Bordeaux-trained winemaker Benoit Touquette, Becker transformed Realm into an estate-focused winery, acquiring vineyards and establishing a state-of-the-art production facility in the Stags Leap District.

The Winemaking Team

Benoit Touquette, a native of Bordeaux with a master's degree in Enology and Chemistry from the University of Bordeaux, leads Realm's winemaking efforts. His philosophy emphasizes crafting wines that reflect the unique characteristics of each vineyard, resulting in powerful yet balanced expressions of Napa Valley terroir.

Terroir and Vineyards
